I started Elareia in Providence, Rhode Island, but it began earlier than that. I was under a weeping cherry in Asheville one spring, watching petal fall and thinking: this is already a fairyland. Why aren't we writing it down?

Before Elareia, I studied environmental science at Emory and ran an organic farm in Black Mountain, North Carolina. An intact ecosystem is not quiet. It is loud with pollinators and mycelium and weather. By any honest reading, it is magic.

Elareia is that ecosystem. The Appalachian wilderness, fully intact, and settled by magic.
